- Potato starch150 g
- Dough conditioner1 teaspoon
- Dark chocolate50 g
- Butter75 g
- Cake toppingon taste
- Chocolateson taste
- Flour150 g
- Powdered sugar100 g
Directions
To prepare the cookies, you will need milk, potato starch, baking powder, butter or margarine, powdered sugar, wheat flour, dark chocolate, confectionery sprinkles, and small red candies for decoration.
Take the butter out of the refrigerator and leave it at room temperature for a while to soften. Sift the powdered sugar into a deep mixing bowl. Add pieces of softened butter.
Using a spoon, cream the sugar with the butter until it reaches a paste-like consistency.
Take a separate deep container. Sift the starch, flour, and baking powder. Mix with a hand whisk until the baking powder is evenly distributed, so that the Christmas reindeer cookies rise slightly when baked.
Gradually add milk and dry ingredients to the sugar-butter mixture. After each addition, mix well.
Knead the soft dough. For convenience, divide into two parts.
Sprinkle a little flour on a sheet of parchment. Place the dough, cover with another sheet of parchment, and roll out into a thin layer.
At this step, you will need cookie cutters in the shape of gingerbread men. Cut out the shapes. Bake for 10-15 minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees. Repeat the same steps with the remaining dough.
Cool the finished cookies.
Melt the dark chocolate for decoration using any convenient method. Draw horns, eyes, and a nose. Decorate with decorative sprinkles, and make the mouth out of red candy-coated chocolate. Leave at room temperature for the chocolate to set.
The Christmas reindeer cookies are ready. Enjoy with a cup of tea and have a happy holiday!
