Ingredients
- Banana2 piece
- Chocolate70 g
- Peanuts20 g
Directions
Prepare all the ingredients. Bananas should be ripe, fragrant, but fairly firm. Any high-quality chocolate will work for the glaze. I used dark chocolate with 80% cocoa content. Instead of peanuts for breading, you can use any nuts, coconut flakes, crumbled cookies, crushed corn sticks, or flakes.
Rinse the bananas and pat them dry with a towel. Peel them and cut them in half. If the bananas are very large, you can cut them into 3 pieces. Take ice cream sticks and insert them in the center of each half of the banana to secure them well.
I used peeled peanuts. To make the nuts more aromatic and tasty, they need to be dried. Put peanuts on a dry heated frying pan. Dry them on low heat, stirring with a spatula for 10-15 minutes. The peanuts should slightly brown on all sides.
Cool and chop the peanuts using any convenient method. You can cut them into small pieces with a knife, or chop them in a blender, but not to the point of making them a powder, so that there are still small crumbs, or roll over with a roller on whole nuts.
Break the chocolate into small pieces. Transfer to a heat-resistant dish. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler. For this, take a saucepan, pour water and bring it to a boil. Place the dish with chocolate on top, making sure the boiling water doesn't touch the bottom of the bowl. Keep on low heat, stirring with a spatula, until the chocolate melts. Alternatively, you can melt it in the microwave in pulse mode for 20-30 seconds, stirring with a spatula after each heating.
The glaze should be smooth and free of lumps. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
Transfer the banana onto a dish with melted chocolate. I use a kitchen brush to coat it.
Coat from all sides with crushed peanuts.
Place the bananas on parchment paper. I used a different method. I placed the bananas on a stick on the steamer rack of the multicooker. Put them in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes to let the chocolate harden.
The bananas in chocolate glaze are ready. At this step, you can wrap the banana on a stick in parchment paper and put it in the freezer. Then, simply take out of the freezer and eat it like ice cream. In this case, store the bananas for no more than two weeks.
Enjoy your meal!
