Macaroni as in kindergarten

In my practice, there were sweet casseroles using pasta, vermicelli, and lasagna sheets, with the addition of cottage cheese, raisins, and vanilla.

The recipe does not specify the shape and configuration of the macaroni. I thought logically that small flat pasta would look best in a sweet and quickly cooked casserole, so I chose flat noodles made in Russia. The milk is homemade, the egg as well. I adjusted the recipe to use a whole egg, which makes 4 servings according to the standards of a kindergarten.

Mix the milk, egg (thoroughly washed with soda, as stated in the instruction), and sugar with a whisk. I used raw milk, but pasteurized milk will also work. I didn't increase the amount of sugar, the macaroni casserole is pleasantly sweet without being overly sweet. My child helped me mix it, he loves doing it.

Break the long noodles into four parts and put them to cook in four times the amount of salted boiling water. Cook until done, check the packaging or try on a tooth, no al dente, fully soft, remembering that it is a kindergarten dish.

Spread the pasta mixture in the dish and place it in a preheated oven. The temperature should be around 220-280 degrees Celsius. If your electric oven only goes up to 230 degrees, that's fine. After the specified ten minutes, the pasta casserole was not covered with the necessary golden crust, so I continued to cook it for another ten minutes. I let the cooked pasta casserole cool down to warm and offered it to my 5-year-old son who doesn't go to daycare. He enjoyed it, and I think we'll have it for breakfast as a whole family. It's a pleasant and very budget-friendly dish, which is also important in our time.
