Directions
Prepare all the necessary ingredients for a homemade burger. I buy chilled beef patties for burgers. I always check the composition and shelf life of the semi-finished product. If the composition of the patty is good, made from natural ingredients without flavor enhancers or food colorings, then you can confidently buy it. It is best to buy such semi-finished products from trusted manufacturers. If desired, you can make the burger patty yourself, but this process will take a little more time. The cheese for the burger should melt well on the hot patty. Be sure to buy juicy and sweet tomatoes. You will also need a salted or low-salt pickle. If you like spicy food, you can add pickled jalapeno peppers to the burger. If desired, you can add fresh sweet or pickled onions to the ingredients. Add mustard, tomato sauce, or ketchup to taste. You can complement or replace the tomato sauce (ketchup) with mayonnaise.
Rinse the tomato, cut it into 2 flat round slices. Each slice should be approximately 0.7-1 cm thick.
Rinse and dry the lettuce leaves, cut off part of the stem.
Slice the pickled cucumber into thin slices.
Cut the burger bun in half. If you can't find special sesame buns for burgers, you can use ciabatta.
Dry the two halves of the bun on a dry skillet, you can use a grill skillet or a regular one. The dried buns will be warm, crispy, and won't absorb the tomato sauce as much.
Fry the chilled beef patty on a dry, preheated skillet until cooked. The patty should be fully cooked inside and remain juicy. The cooking time depends on the size and thickness of the patty. The one I bought was quite fatty, so I didn't need to grease the skillet additionally. If you're making a chicken patty burger, use oil for frying.
Place a slice of cheese on the cooked, hot patty. It should slightly melt.
Assemble a homemade burger: generously spread tomato sauce (ketchup) on one half of the bun and place a lettuce leaf on top.
Add a slice of tomato and a couple slices of pickles.
Add a slice of cheese and a cheese patty. Optionally, spread mustard on the patty to taste.
Assemble the second half of the burger in the same way - add a couple more slices of pickles, a tomato slice, a lettuce leaf, and the bun with tomato sauce.
