Information
Ingredients
- Beef1200 g
- Sour cream2 tablespoon
- Horseradish2 teaspoon
- Salton taste
- Black pepperon taste
- Breadcrumbs80 g
- Olive oil60 ml
- Thyme4 tablespoon
- Garlic1 clove
- Vegetable oil2 teaspoon
Directions
Start by preheating the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Finely chop thyme (or your chosen fresh herbs). Also finely chop the garlic (or crush it with a garlic press).
In a small bowl, mix together sour cream, horseradish, salt, and black pepper. Do not hesitate to add salt and pepper!
In a separate bowl, mix bread crumbs with olive oil, chopped herbs, and garlic. The crumbs should be evenly moistened, if necessary, add a little more oil. This mixture should also be seasoned with salt and pepper.
The meat, in turn, also needs to be seasoned with salt and pepper.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet and fry the meat on all sides until golden brown. This will take about 7-10 minutes.
Transfer the meat to a cutting board. Spread the sour cream mixture with horseradish on top.
Sprinkle bread crumbs on top, pressing them into the sour cream so that they adhere well. Transfer the meat to a skillet, baking dish, or baking sheet and put in the oven. Cook for 40-55 minutes, depending on the desired degree of doneness. The doneness of the meat is a rather delicate matter, the easiest way to determine it is to measure the temperature in the middle of the piece using a meat thermometer (for medium well, the meat should be cooked to a temperature of 65-69 degrees). Before slicing the meat, let it rest on a warmed plate or cutting board covered with foil, for 15 minutes. This time will allow the juices to distribute inside the meat and not leak out when sliced.
