Individual Kruffins with Jam
Kruffins are a relatively recent invention of the young American pastry chef, Ri Steven. They are a symbiosis of layered croissant pastry baked in a muffin tin. The Kruffin itself is unique due to its shape and delicious taste. But it can be made even more special by filling it with your favorite jam or cream.

Directions
Actually, there's nothing complicated about making croffins. We will prepare a regular yeast dough. If you're kneading the dough by hand, you can use the technique described in this recipe. I prefer to knead yeast dough using a bread maker. It's very convenient and saves both energy and time. Place the necessary ingredients for the dough in the bread maker bowl in the recommended order, as stated in the instruction. In my case, it's first all the liquid ingredients, followed by the dry ones.
Turn on the dough mixing and rising mode. All that remains is to wait for the time allotted for kneading and rising the dough.
Remove the dough from the bowl onto the work surface and divide it into 6 equal pieces.
Cover all the pieces, except one, with plastic wrap to prevent them from drying out.
Roll out the piece of dough thinly into an elongated rectangle measuring approximately 20x60 cm.
Spread the entire surface with softened (not melted!) butter and roll it up into a roll. The rolling should not be too tight, if necessary, slightly pull the ends to ensure even rolling.
To make 6 identical rolls.
Using a sharp knife, cut each roll in half, starting at the tip and then deepening into the entire blade. You should have 12 pieces - just enough for a standard muffin pan.
This method of cutting prevents the dough from sticking and preserves its flakiness.
Shape each strip into a craffin by rolling it up, with the flaky side facing up, and place it in a greased and floured pan.
Cover the craffins with plastic wrap or a towel and let them rise again. After about an hour, they will double in size.
Place the baking tray in the preheated oven at 180 degrees and bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
Remove the baked individual kraft crumbs and let them cool on a rack. You can simply sprinkle them with powdered sugar now - and it will be delicious! But it's even better to fill the individual kraft crumbs with your favorite jam or cream using a pastry syringe with an elongated tip.
It's time to serve the individual kraft crumbs with jam for tea! Enjoy your meal!
